Riyadh: GIO & SATA Support Indian Nurses Facing Contract Issues
Riyadh — Representatives from the Global Indian Organization (GIO) and the Saudi Arabia Telugu Association (SATA) met with a group of Indian nurses in Riyadh who are facing difficulties with their employment contracts through a recruiting agency.
GIO Riyadh President Preeti Chauhan opened the session by introducing the organization and creating a supportive environment, allowing the nurses to share their concerns openly. She explained the legal procedures and advised them not to approach the assuring ongoing support while seeking lawful solutions.
During the discussion, GIO members assessed the nurses’ professional status and contract details:
Mr. Ramesh Chaudhary inquired about valid licenses and offered guidance for those preparing to take entrance exams, coordinating with institutions to assist them.
Mr. Vivek Sharma collected detailed accounts of the nurses’ journey from India and the recruitment process.
Mr. Chakshu Srivastava reviewed contracts and employment arrangements with the recruiting agency.
Some GIO members, including Mr. Amit Kauntia, joined virtually to stay involved in the support efforts.
Representing SATA, Ms. Sarvani communicated in the nurses’ native language, building confidence and ensuring clarity. The team also distributed essential items, snacks, and refreshments.
The nurses expressed heartfelt gratitude to GIO, SATA, and the entire team, recording a short thank-you video. Special recognition was given to Nandu, the bus driver, for his ongoing support in transportation.
